The Word Washes and Renews By TaJuanda Michelle

Where with all shall a young man cleanse his way by taking heed there to according to thy word? (Psalms 119:9) This bible passage speaks to me like a counselor to the mind of a willful child looking to follow God’s perfect plan. It offers hope with definition for a life needing guidance that fosters renewable ways. Ways that are not yet prepared for what God has in store since the beginning of time. If a young person takes heed to God’s word she or he can begin to grow in wisdom from above. She or he can use this knowledge and wisdom to witness perfection in Christ to live by.

Societal standards as a way of life are not enough because they can promote a secular way of life instead of encouraging a person to grow in grace and truth through faith. Knowledge and wisdom, although it shouldn’t be pursued out of vain glory, is powerful. It comes from reading the word which is sharper than a double edged sword, able to divide the soul asunder, quick and has the power to influence us deeply within our heart. When we begin to understand truth, this light comes on and Christ can make manifest in our lives. Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6, KJV)
