The Deborah Project 2014

Dear Woman of God,

I am excited to send you this invitation for The Deborah Project. The Deborah Project is a weekend where young women (ages 16-30) are encouraged to think about the calling God has on their life. The Deborah Project is a time where God will settle uncertainties, direct paths, and initiate mentor relationships which will help build the Body of Christ. The Deborah Project was envisioned from projects like The Timothy Group and The Jonathon Project.

We will meet at the Sanctuary in Hazelwood, MO on August 29-30th 2014. The Deborah Project Planning committee is chaired by Angela Harwood, and the Missouri contact is Crystal Schmalz. Leadership support comes from the Urshan Community, David and Nancy Norris, David and Connie Bernard, Claudette Walker, Amber Willeford, Pebble Wisdom, Ashley Leppo, Hannah Billingsley, and others. The weekend will consist of powerful services, teaching sessions from the Bernards and others, group work including case studies, a commissioning service, food, and fun. The cost of registration will be $15. Online registration will be open until August 15th 2014 on Eventbrite. Tables for selling products like books and other church resources can be reserved for a $20 fee.

We want to encourage you to attend this weekend if your calendar will allow, and encourage men and women who may be older to help mentor some of these younger women. Please encourage your youth pastors, women’s ministry directors, and other church leadership to attend with these young women. Each year we have had over 150 young women attend this event!

God truly has a great work to be done in the Missouri District, and it is our hope to encourage young women to think about their calling and get involved in leadership. I want to personally thank you for taking the time to invest in people. I believe God will strengthen your church and will open many doors as he continues to call both women and men into the field which is white and ready for harvest.

More information can be found on The Deborah Project Facebook page. If you have any questions, please contact Crystal Schmalz at womenofvisionleadership@gmail.com.
