New Teaching Sessions with Video and Handout

Rev. Crystal November 26, 2014 0 comments

I’ve been working on a few new teaching sessions for a series I am putting together. These sessions will be available soon, and I hope to have some video put with them along with small group handouts. Let me know what you think, and whether or not these sessions could be helpful for you in your local church and ministry context.

Decorating Your Character: We all like to walk into a beautiful decorated home. Imagine the rich vibrant colors, clever creative patterns, and the unique charm of the individual decorator. The décor seems to bring warmth, safety, presence, and hope to the home. Just as we spend time to nicely decorate our home, we too must decorate our hearts and minds with the fruits of the Spirit. Too often we have a negative critical spirit, but God wants to build patience, perseverance, and peace in our life. How can we truly be the temple of the Holy Spirit? Let God decorate you with love, humility, peace, faithfulness, gentleness, integrity, and hope. Come with us in this session as we decorate our character for Kingdom purposes.

The Hospitality of Jesus: As women, we are always wanting to be hospitable and the best host when we have people over for a special dinner or occasion. Think about Mary and Martha and how they wanted everything to be just right for when Jesus arrived in their home. As Christians we should be hospitable, loving, and caring. But, it is not always easy to love our neighbors and show the hospitality of Jesus Christ to them. Journey with us in this session, as we explore the hospitality of Jesus, and learn how to love people through the eyes of Jesus!

The Dream Land: We all have dreams, callings, and purposes given by God in our life. When we look forward into the future we know God is calling us to be and do great things, but sometimes the Promise Land seems far away. What do you do when it is not your season of transformation? How can you feel the overwhelming power of the Holy Spirit when it only seems like a small drip of water from the faucet is coming down to quench your thirst? Come and learn with us as we explore the dreams of God, and the practice of daily faith.

The Winds of Revival: Scripture has promised us the harvest, but it has also said the laborers are few. As we think about God outpouring his Spirit upon all people, we need to prepare our hearts and minds for revival. What can we learn from scripture? How can we be used in the Spiritual gifts given by God to the Church? It is time for revival, and revival starts first in our hearts and minds. Come with us in this session, and feel the power of God in your life, ministry, and church. It’s revival time!

Joy for the Weary: Every day we are bombarded with burdens, responsibilities, and challenging situations. As pastoral care providers we often work with some of the most challenging people and situations. There are many questions of why, and doubts which creep in when cancer or other diseases come our way. How can we help those who are hurting? How can we give our own personal burdens to God? Come to this session and cast your cares on Jesus. Leave your worries, anxieties, and concerns with the One who has all power and provision. Exchange your weariness for the joy of Jesus Christ!

Pentecostal Women of Faith: We have an incredible history of women who have served the Pentecostal church, and have been a part of the great revivals in our history. These women labored as preachers, evangelists, pastors, writers, Bible Study teachers, fundraiser organizers, and more. Come with us on a journey as we explore some of these women of faith, and be open to the voice of God. God may open a door or a window you never expected!
